I know, I know what you all are thinking because I've been thinking it myself for the past 2 months. How horrible and incomplete I feel having not posted anything for the past couple of months!! I wished for more time once school was over but I need to take into account that I'm also a stay-@-home mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister, and a really good friend. I know it just all sounds like excuses but it's merely the truth. Fashion is my pride and joy but sometimes life happens. But I will say this now that I've gotten that off my chest, I feel so much better and won't make any promises that I can't live up to but I will say this......I'll be back xoxoxoxo

Se la vi...Ke sera sera

Let me start by saying how terrible I feel for not blogging for over a week! I know I've said it before but this semester can't be over fast enough! Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge believer in Education (hence the change in my major) but it's just taking an unexpected toll on me. No worries. Soon things will be back in order and I'll have a little more free time to do what I love! On the other hand, this experience is actually teaching me how to cope with stress a lot better. I'm learning to leave my worries right where they stand. No sense in beating yourself up other the "uncontrollable" elements in your life. I've always had this saying but more and more its meaning is becoming more real to me. "Se la vi. Ke sera sera." That simply translates, "That's life. Whatever will be, will be." Moving forward that's something I absolutely plan on keeping in mind. Until next time.....A la prochaine *cheek2cheek*

Sunday Morning

 Bonjour! Ideally, I wanted to post this on Sunday but I've been so busy with school I haven't gotten a chance to blog at all this week but that won't be the case for much longer. The semester is almost over which means more blogging, more shopping, and more me! I'm especially excited about this post specifically because I finally get a chance to share with all of you who I am, what my passion really is, and how it makes me feel on a day to day. For the as long as I could remember, I've always been placed into categories. In a box so to speak. Whether it is because I'm a black, or because of my Haitian descent, or because of my name, which by the way took years to grow on me. But for whatever reason, I've always tried everything in my power to stand out by either exceeding academically, living by raised expectations (despite my environmental circumstances), and more recently by my fashion choices. There's something about being "average" or "typical" that never sat well with me and I'm appreciating that about myself more and more. I just pray that as I get older, not only do I gracefully age but I become all the wiser as well.....Until next time

No More Wire Hangers

Comment vas-tu? That means " how are you?" Hope all is well. As for me, I've had a pretty hectic week, which is practically the story of my life. I'm just glad the semester is almost over so this way I'll have more time to blog and have a social life again. On the other hand, I did manage to do a little spring cleaning and in the process, rearrange my closet just a bit. I must say I think I have the smallest closet in the whole wide world but it may just be me looking at the glass as half full. Anywho, I still have a lot of work that needs to be completed but I am very proud of the progressed I've made. Hope everyone's enjoying the beginning of one of my fav seasons: Spring! Au revoir....

Inspiration

Bonjour. I'm a little down because I missed service this morning but with this whole Daylight Savings snaphoo, I just couldn't get up in time. On the other hand, I just wanted to share a little info about myself. So I started a pretty drastic, life-changing hair journey about 9 months ago. I Bc'd!! Now for those that aren't familiar with the term, that means that I cut off all of my relaxed hair leaving all of my natural hair (which was only about 1/2 an inch at the time). My hair is doing well, I think but all the while it is a journey so I'm still learning everyday. Ultimately my main concern is the overall health of my hair but I do have some hair length goals that I look forward to. I'll have pics of myself posted in the very near future but here's just one of the few women that keeps me motivated on my off days:
